Super Moon - Tate Southwood

Super Moon
By: Tate Southwood

The Super Moon is something that I have been excited about seeing!  Taking a great picture of the Super Moon was a hard task but, the result was amazing.  In order to get a good picture of the Super Moon, I had to use a telescope.  First, I set my telescope up and point it in the direction of the Super Moon.  After the positioning was complete, I used the telescopes settings to get a clear view through the lens.  Once the adjustments were complete on the telescope, I used my iPhone’s camera by lining it up with the lens of the telescope (where you put your eye to look through the telescope).  Finally, I held the phone very still so that it could auto-adjust.  Once the picture on the screen of my phone was clear, I snapped the picture!  I am extremely proud that my photograph turned out this way!
