The Howling Wolf
By: Allie Poynter
I used Windows Paint and Kritta for this art piece. I drew the picture in Windows Paint using the pen, spray can, and bucket. Then, I downloaded a free program, Kritta, and uploaded the picture on there. With the Kritta program, I added shading and more details. I used the airbrush to add shading on the wolf to make it more realistic. I also used the airbrush tool and changed the opacity to add a “glow” effect and shading to the moon to show depth. Once the shading was completed, I used different stamps and changed the direction that my art piece was turned to add the fog, stars, fur, and moon cracks. The specific stamps I used were the “grass”, “water”, “floor”, “pine”, and “spray” ones. I used the pencil to draw the fur coming off of the wolf. I chose to create this because, I am really interested in drawing animals especially forest animals.
