Please read carefully! Changes are coming to how student medications are handled at school:
💊 Prescribed Medications:
➡️ Starting with the 2025–2026 school year, a written provider order MUST be submitted at the same time as the medication.
❌ No more grace period — without the order, medication cannot and will not be given.
🩹 Over-the-Counter Medications:
➡️ We must have written consent on file to give OTC meds (like Tylenol or allergy medicine).
✅ Make sure to complete and return your Healthy Kids Clinic registration forms with permission included.
❌ Verbal permission is no longer allowed.
✅ These changes follow updated guidance from the KY Board of Nursing & KY Dept. of Education.
Thank you for helping us keep all students safe and in compliance! 💜
